Photography wasn’t the initial plan. I studied molecular biology, spent five years in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, and only later realised I’d much rather be behind a camera than in a theatre all day.

I’ve been shooting full time for two years now, based in Cape Town — a city that spoils you with light, coastline, and people worth photographing. Most of my work is here, but I’ve had some amazing jobs that have taken me further. Recent campaigns have landed me in Bali and the Maldives, which is a reasonable trade for a morning commute.

My style was built around fashion and swimwear — warm, filmy, colour-led — but I’ve discovered it translates surprisingly well across everything else. Weddings, brand content, social media reels. It turns out a strong aesthetic isn’t niche. It just makes whatever you point it at look better.
